Upperclassmen Host Creative Writing Welcome Tea Party
Welcome to the ECW Program!
On August 28, 2024, at 4 p.m. in the Library Penthouse, the English and Creative Writing (ECW) program will kick off the academic year with a Creative Writing Welcome Tea Party, hosted by four upperclassmen: Jo Douglas, Jubilee Forbes, Lydia Sheehan, and Sarah Phillips. They wanted to welcome their classmates to campus in a fun way, taking the initiative to organize this special tea party.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in summer semiformal attire for the occasion, for a stylish yet relaxed vibe. Snacks and teas will be offered, with a unique twist: participants are invited to bring their own mugs or cups. Come 鈥渟pill the tea鈥�, share stories and experiences, and meet your new teachers and friends.

The event is open to all students and faculty within the ECW program, offering a chance to reconnect after the summer break/connect with new students and set a positive tone for the semester ahead. With its blend of tradition, creativity, and community spirit, the Welcome Tea Party is sure to be a memorable start to the new academic year.
